Grimsby-based dealership, John Roe Toyota, has appointed a new General Manager at what is an exciting time for the business, with several recent car launches and an ever-increasing focus on hybrid as Toyota lead the charge on vehicles that provide environmental benefits and better customer economy. Matthew Arliss has worked locally in the Motor Trade for the last 19 years and has extensive experience with similar brands.
Working only a few miles from his home, Matt is excited to get stuck in to new challenges at the Grimsby dealership. He has had an impressive career to date; starting out as a Trainee Sales Executive with a local franchised dealer, he has progressively worked his way up the ranks over the last 19 years and excelled in senior positions. The focus for his new position will be in maintaining excellent customer service for existing customers, while also reaching out to new audiences who may not have previously considered Toyota but see the appeal of the new vehicles or are interesting in finding out more about hybrid cars.
Speaking of his appointment, Matt said: “I’m delighted to take up this position at John Roe Toyota in Grimsby. To be associated with a family group like John Roe who have such a history in the town is a real honour. It’s a perfect time to be joining the Toyota brand as we have just launched the All New Corolla self-charging hybrid and also have the All-New RAV4 hybrid launching on the 1st March, so there’s a lot of exciting projects to get stuck into. The Toyota technology is second-to-none with incredible economy figures and the changes that the brand have been making in recent years added to the appeal of moving to John Roe. We have a fantastic team in Grimsby, with a passion for customer service, and I’m really looking forward to getting to know the team as well as meeting new and existing John Roe customers.”
John Roe Group Operations Director, Steve Kelly, added: “We are delighted to welcome Matt to the John Roe Toyota family. Having grown up in Grimsby, he knows the local area well and has a fantastic reputation in the region’s automotive industry. I’m sure Matt will have many years of success ahead with John Roe Toyota.”
